NAU’s Athletic Training Program

Athletic trainers (ATs) are healthcare professionals who prevent, evaluate, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate injuries and illnesses associated with physical activity. They can work in a variety of setting such as professional sports teams, middle and high schools, performing arts, universities, clinics, hospitals, and industry (Amazon, auto industry, corporate).

Our student-centered program utilizes a variety of teaching methods. The first year of the program offers both academics and clinical experiences in-person. The second year of the program offers academics fully online and clinical education in-person.

Find your path to becoming an Athletic Trainer at Northern Arizona University through our Master of Science in Athletic Training program offered in both Phoenix and Flagstaff, Arizona.
